Large Scale

Welcome to my portfolio of large scale tattooing! To me, this means more than size alone. Yes, these pieces are generally pretty big, but more importantly, they're anatomically correct. They fit the shape of the body part, and flow with its natural motion. I love to work with the body in this way, whether it's a single panel (like a side, or the outside of a limb) or something that wraps all the way around and connects to itself. Using the fullness of a shape, we can achieve higher levels of detail, allowing for more subtlety and nuance in the image. This also makes possible the development of middle and backgrounds, which draw the eye deeper into the scene. These pieces are great for story telling, building interactions that create metaphors with depth of symbolism that matches the depth of the art itself.
